is to be seenon the 'Barrieres de la Ville,' one of which is
next door to the Post office in Smith Street. On 25 Feb 1706, he
is noted as ' un des pricipaux habitans dela Ville' on a
committee to supervise some works on the Harbour, and on 6 Sept
1708 agrees to be among a number to subscribe one third of the
expenses of a delegate to the Privy Council to protest against
the proposal to establish Custom-Houses in the Island as being
contrary to the privileges of the Island.
