In a letter from the Sand Springs HOme, dated May 20, 1977, "we have a record of a Mary Daves - which lists her five children, and stating that she was dismissed from the Sand Springs Home Widow's Colony on August 18, 1934. This is all the information we have."

After her mother's death, Mary was assigned as Guardian for her brother, Josef, an incompetent, under court order. On May 13, 1940, she relinquished their home by advertising it for sale for 5 weeks. The property sold for $900 with her brother Josef receiving $400. This document is titled, "Return of Sale of PErsonal Property."
