Truman Richmond Sr. SOUTHWORTH 1 was born 13 Jan 1913 in Coventry, New York. He died 10 Oct 1998 in Bennington, Vermont and was buried 12 Oct 1998 in Bennington, Vermont. Truman married Alice Arvilla ABBEY on 19 Jun 1938 in South Otselic, New York.

Truman was 4F during WWII and claims he stayed home to "take care of the women".  He was a flirt throughout his life but Alice's rule was he could "look but not touch".  He had a stroke in 1978 which doctor's said he would not survive.  He did and lived to see all of his grandchildren.  He had no speech and was paralyzed on his right side but was able to communicate his needs and his love.  He had a rough childhood but managed to grow to be a man of great strength, loved by all who knew him.
